Well, well. Finally got around to doing a new Dark Link fanart. He still looks odd, but i think i'm getting better at the whole fusion thing of realism and anime. It's a lot harder than it looks, ya know...
Lots of time i should have spent on other things in PS CS2.
Oo, very dark and mysterious. His hair is excellently realistic, his eyes have an awesome, evil glow to them, and all his facial features/ collarbone are very 3d. The only thing i might nitpick is it seems once of his fingers, (maybe the ring finger?) is a bit off. Very well done ^^
Hmm, looks good! So the anime/realism cross is the style you're going for, or is it just one of many you're dabbling in?
The eyes and hair look great. Maybe the clothing could use a bit more texture if you're going for more of a realistic look? My one and only complaint about the pic is his hairline. First of all, I think it would look nice if it wasn't so stark (like, if the hair quickly but gradually became thicker and thicker instead of no hair and than *bang* a forest of thick dark hair). Like, maybe for a few millimeters drawing in some wispy strands that you can still see skin through and then get thicker as you get more toward the crown. Another thing with it is that it's pretty much flat straight across his forehead. Now, maybe you're not going for a widow's peak look for him, but even a 'flat' hairline will follow the curve of the head. So instead of being straight across, it would actually look like an upside-down 'u', coming down at his ears and rising in an arch around his forehead.
On that note, I think his head's a little too small, which makes his hairline seem squished down. Basically the crown should be at twice the height of the face (from eyebrows to chin- taking into account that Dark Link's eyebrows here are slanting downward drastically, so one would measure as if his eyebrows are in their natural position), and the hairline should start roughly the same distance from the eyebrows as the nose is (at least mine is).
Yeah, when I measure with my fingers the distance between his nose and eyebrows and then move it up, that really seems to be the natural place for the hairline to start. Hope that helps, and sorry if it seems nitpicky, but that's pretty much the only thing that really stuck out at me and screamed 'there's something not right about me'.

oh, wow. very sexy--but it's DL, thats expected. I love the smirk on his face--what female could resist that?! and it's a cross between traditional anime and realism--i like it
